The Green and White Rivers – Beautiful and Dangerous

As we move into the summer months and look for ways to escape the heat, recreation on and around the Green and White rivers becomes more frequent. The Valley Regional Fire Authority encourages you to learn about the hazards of our rivers and take steps to keep you and your family safe. Be knowledgeable of the water environment you are in and its potential hazards, such as deep and shallow areas, currents, depth changes, obstructions, where the entry and exit points are located and if there are any posted river closures. The more informed you are, the more aware you will be of hazards and safe practices.
